Wednesday Night Classes

Winter Session:  Feb. 7 - Mar. 28, 2018

TLC offers a variety of electives from which to choose. Electives include classes in areas of Bible studies, biblical principles, relationship issues, and special interests. These classes are offered 3 times yearly: Winter, Spring and Fall.

Join us with the entire family for dinner in Monschke Hall (Bldg. 7000), 5:15–6:15pm. The cost for dinner is $6 for adults; $3 for children ages 3–12; $15 for a family of 4 or more. The adult classes at 6:30–7:45pm vary. Children's programs offered simultaneously.

The adult classes take place at 6:30–7:45pm and are partially listed below:

  • TLC School of Theology: Know What you Believe II – Teacher:  Mike Taylor -  Monschke Hall – Rm. 7106 

    “What does the Bible tell us about angels?”, “How do I know I’m really saved?”  “What is God’s future plan for mankind?” Gain a solid biblical understanding; you can pursue the A.B.T. Certificate or simply monitor the course. Journal fee: $10                    

    Starting Point  – Modular 8112                

    Starting Point is a conversational environment where you can explore faith and experience community.  It’s a safe place for you to ask questions and learn about the Bible and Christianity.  Contact us for more info at .

    Women’s Class:  “Life’s Healing Choices” by Rick Warren.- Teacher:  Kim Breuninger, Women’s Director -  Rm. 7102

    Following the beatitudes, this study teaches fundamental steps in recognizing and releasing hurts that keep us from finding real answers, hope and enjoying God’s promises. 

    RomansVerse by Verse -Teacher: Pastor Paul Spurlock -  Rm. 7100

    There’s so much to learn:  the gospel, how we’re saved, what God wants from us, judgments & forgiveness, how we’re to relate to the world & each other, battling sin & growing up in Jesus, Israel, conflict resolution, serving others and more. 

    Embrace Grace - Women’s Group  - Facilitator: Rachael White   - Rm. 6100 – Office Lobby - Hope, grace, fellowship and support offered for women with unplanned pregnancy.  Go to www.tlc.org/embracegrace for more info. 

    Character of God - Teachers: Peter Payne, PhD – Managing Director, Institute for Credible Christianity; John Payne MD (Past President – Medical Ambassadors International)- Rm. 7104 – What does the Old Testament and Jesus say about God?  What about the Canaanites?  Also, learn a fun way to study the Bible with stories from the book of Esther. High interaction and application. Please bring your Bible. 

    Walking the Bible: Israel Past and Present – Teacher:  Pastor Dave Hicks -  Rm. 7103 - Ever had questions about some of the stories in the Bible?  Wonder how God could have "His People” Israel whom He claims to LOVE suffer?   Walk through the Bible with open eyes to see the salvation that God is ultimately accomplishing.

    Singles 45+  -“The Book of James” by Pastor Francis Chan -  Facilitator:  Wayne Smith -  Rm. 8122

    This inspiring study unpacks truths that apply to everyday life and helps you build an authentic relationship with the risen Lord.

    Uke For Joy  - Facilitators: Pam Hicks, Kathy Moeller & Dick Garwood -Rm. 7105 - A fun ukulele get together to praise God. Bring a smile, your ukulele, and a music stand. Beginners meet 6-6:30 for help getting started.

    Young Families – Facilitator: Pastor Steve Craig -  Intern House, Rm. 10101

    Strengthen your marriage with fellowship, video “You and Me Forever, Marriage in Light of Eternity” by Francis and Lisa Chan & small group discussion. This session welcomes all married couples who want to grow their marriage.
