Wednesday Night Classes

Winter Session:  Feb. 7 - Mar. 28, 2018

TLC offers a variety of electives from which to choose. Electives include classes in areas of Bible studies, biblical principles, relationship issues, and special interests. These classes are offered 3 times yearly: Winter, Spring and Fall.

Join us with the entire family for dinner in Monschke Hall (Bldg. 7000), 5:15–6:15pm. The cost for dinner is $6 for adults; $3 for children ages 3–12; $15 for a family of 4 or more. The adult classes at 6:30–7:45pm vary. Children's programs offered simultaneously.

  • TLC School of Theology: Christianity:  Know What You Believe II  Rm. 7106
    Teacher: Mike Taylor
    What does the Bible tell us about angels?, How do I know I'm really saved?  What is God's future plan for mankind?  Gain a solid biblical understanding; you can pursue the ABT Certificate or simply monitor the course.    Journal fee: $10

  • Starting Point – Modular Rm. 8112
    A conversational environment where you can explore faith and experience community. A safe place for you to ask questions and learn about the Bible and Christianity. Want more info? .

  • Uke 4 Joy – Rm. 7105
    Facilitators: Pam Hicks, Kathy Moeller, & Dick Garwood
    A ukulele get together to have fun and praise God with our music.  "Come let us sing for joy to the Lord."  Psalm 95:1.  Bring a smile, your ukulele, a music stand and strum along as we play together worship and contemporary songs.  Beginners meet 6-6:30pm for help getting started.  

  • Romans Rm. 7101                                                    Teacher:  Pastor Paul Spurlock                                                If we were to describe books of the Bible as meals, the Book of Romans could justly be called a Thanksgiving feast!  And that’s because it is stuffed aplenty with rich morsels that include subjects such as the Gospel, God’s plan for how we’re saved & what He wants from us, judgments & forgiveness, how we’re to relate to the world, governments & each other, battling sin & growing up in Jesus, Israel, conflict resolution, serving others and much more!
  • Women's Class:  Life's Healing Choices by Rick Warren.     Teacher:  Kim Breuninger, TLC Women's Director              Following the beatitudes, this study teaches fundamental steps in recognizing and releasing hurts that keep us from finding real answers, hope and enjoying God's promises.

  • Singles 45+ - The Book of James by Pastor Francis Chan      Facilitator:  Wayne Smith                                                       This study and how it applies to the life of believers today will inspire you, unpacking the truths in this book and building in you an authentic relationship with the risen Lord.
  • Young Families - Intern House - Rm. 10101                          Facilitator:  Pastor Steve Craig     
  • Walking the Bible: Israel Past and Present                       Teacher:  Pastor Dave Hicks                                                  Ever had questions about some of the stories in the Bible?  Wonder how God could have "His People” Israel whom He claims to LOVE suffer?   Walk through the Bible with open eyes to see the salvation that God is ultimately accomplishing.
