Jessica Bristol

Pastor to Junior High Students

Jessica Bristol started working at Twin Lakes Church as the Pastor to Jr High students in October 2009. In June of 2010 Jessica was licensed as a pastor. Prior to coming to Twin Lakes, Jessica taught Bible, history, Spanish, and math at Baymonte Christian Middle School for seven years. During this time, Jessica realized that her real passion lay in developing relationships with students, so she began to think about making the switch into student ministries. With summers free, Jessica worked in a variety of Mount Hermon's camping ministries as a counselor, program director, activities director and wilderness/white water-rafting guide. All of these experiences furthered her desire to move out of the classroom and into more of a relational student ministry setting. In June 2008, Jessica quit teaching, feeling that God was calling her step out in faith toward a yet unknown future. She traveled to New Zealand for three months, to work at a camp and look into starting a discipleship school. But, in January 2009, Jessica found herself back in Santa Cruz, finishing up a graduate degree and substitute teaching. In June 2009, Jessica graduated from Western Theological Seminary with a Master's of Divinity Degree. Jessica is excited to be a part of Twin Lakes Church. She loves the energy and enthusiasm of junior high students and how they are so capable of rising to the occasion when given a challenge. Jessica loves being outdoors and active, races in triathlons, is always up for an adventure, and enjoys traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures.

Summer Campbell

Junior High Ministry Associate

Summer Campbell started working with Twin Lakes Junior High about four years ago. Prior to that, she worked for Kruz Kids and Twin Lakes Preschool. Currently, Summer leads the sixth grade girls' Bible Study, heads up our Saturday evening Junior High program - The Thing - and shares in the teaching responsibilities at Living Proof on Sunday mornings. She loves spending time with all the junior high students, getting to know them individually and taking the time to listen to the stories they tell her. Recently, Summer also began working with the high school group so that she could continue to minister to students who have finished junior high. She enjoys being active, outdoors and busy! When not here at Twin Lakes, you will likely find Summer snowboarding, dirt biking, rock climbing or in the ocean.

Kurt Carlton

Junior High Intern/Web Manager

Kurt Carlton has been working with Twin Lakes Junior High since 2006, when he was still in high school. And, he never left. Kurt is incredibly enthusiastic, getting kids excited for just about everything we do. Kurt is our go-to guy who knows everything about everything here at Twin Lakes. Unfortunately, Kurt is currently a student at Vanguard University in Southern California, so he isn't able to join us on a regular basis. However, he is still working remotely for TLC Jr High by updating the website and offering tech support.  Kurt loves to snowboard, wakeboard, eat, and hang out with friends especially his best friend Jeremy Wick (the best person ALIVE, besides JESUS).

Michael Cutler

Junior High Ministry Associate

Michael started volunteering with Twin Lakes Junior High during the summer of 2010 and was hired on as staff heading into 2011-2012 school year. Michael has consistantly taken on more responsibilities during his time with TLC Jr High. Michael helps coordinate The Thing on Saturday nights. He also helps plan and facilitate games for all events at The Ride. In addition, Michael does the behind the scenes audio/visual work and leads a 7th grade boys Bible study at Wildside on Tuesday nights. Outside of spending time with jr high students, Michael enjoys snowboarding and mountain biking. Michael is a student at Cabrillo College where he is studying kinesiology. He hopes to be an athletic trainer.

Molly Craig

Junior High Administrative Assistant

Molly joined the Twin Lakes Junior High Staff during the summer of 2010. She keeps the junior high ministry running by making phone calls, creating calendars, sending out calendars, getting supplies for Wildside, making reservations for our Friday night activities. Molly is great at what she does and we couldn't do junior high ministry with out her. Molly is married to Steve Craig, the Pastor to High School Students, and they have two boys, Isaac and James. Molly enjoys dirt biking, cooking, and reading. Molly also works as the librarian at TLCS.
