Heart to Heart Journey-a mentoring ministry of TLC

“Teach the older women to live in a way that is appropriate for someone serving the Lord…These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to take care of their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands.  Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.”  Titus 2:3-5 NLT

     Assisting and encouraging women to build relationships that honor God’s Word in Titus 2:3-5. 

 

Heart to Heart Journey encompasses the following areas:

1. Woman to Woman mentoring pairs:  We pair together a younger woman with another woman who is a “few steps ahead” who can encourage and guide her in her Christian walk.  Each relationship will be unique based on the needs and desires of the women.  Some women may do a bible study, some a prayer time, and some a time of walking besides each other as life is developing and changing. We encourage all women from High School age on to get involved!

2. Hearts at Home:  This is an 8-week small group program that focuses on building and nurturing a Christian home and family.  It is held periodically throughout the year. 

      3. Training:  We believe that you do not need to be a spiritual giant or a biblical scholar to mentor others.  You need a heart for the God of the Bible, want to abide by His Word, experience in life, and a desire to make a difference in another woman’s life.  We offer training each Fall to women who desire to be a mentor so that they will feel equipped to answer God’s call to “train the younger women…”
