Tribe is a TLC community designed to bring women of all ages together through friendship and common interests.

SAT, OCT. 6
The Metropolitan Opera: Aida – 9:55 a.m., Regal Santa Cruz 9, 1405 Pacific Ave., Santa Cruz, 95060.
The matinee performance of Aida broadcast LIVE from The Met. You will see English subtitles, closeups of the famous and excellent performers. During intermissions, you will be taken backstage between acts for live interviews with the stars and the conductors, and sometimes see the amazing scenery changes, including any live animals. We can carpool or otherwise meet up! It's a great way to enjoy operas or try it for the first time. Cost is about $24 instead of an expensive seat at the actual Met.

Elementary Moms: Easy Hike at Nisene Marks – 3-4 p.m., 559 Aptos Creek Road, Aptos, 95003.
Come and join us for an easy hike with or without kids at The Forest of Nisene Marks. We will meet at the picnic tables by the ranger station, plan on leaving that area by 3:15 to explore the trails. Come join us for coffee and chit chat on one Saturday (usually the first) each month. The cafe serves your favorite Peet’s coffee drinks.

Hike/Walk: DeLaveaga Enchanted Trail - 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., 850 Branciforte, Santa Cruz, 95060.
Our October adventure will be the Enchanted Trail up to the DeLaveaga Upper Loop. We will use this trail to take back down to our cars. There is no fee for this park entrance.
Where: DeLaveaga Park Hike -- Enchanted Trail/ DeLaveaga Upper Loop
Estimated Hike Time: 1 1/2 hours
Level of Difficulty: Moderate with some steep, difficult sections
Details: approx 2.0 miles
What to Wear: good walking shoes, easy casual clothes
What to Bring: water
Where to Meet: DeLaveaga 'Enchanted Trail Trailhead' Entrance. This entrance is about 1/4 mile after the Market Street, Isbel, Goss Ave, Branciforte intersection. You will see a large dirt turn out, and it is right after the dog park, black cyclone fencing. I will be there at about 9:15 am. with the red balloon.

Elementary Moms: Moms Night Out – 5-7 p.m., Severinos, 7500 Old Dominion, Aptos, 95003.
Join the Moms of Elementary Kids for a fun night of appetizers and conversation at Severino's. You don't have to be an elementary mom or even a mom, we would love to see you there! Sea Glass Hunting – 9 a.m.., Davenport Beach, 1 Davenport Rd, Davenport, 95010.
Come join us for a fun day of sea glass hunting. We will meet at the Davenport, just 10 minutes up Hwy 1 outside of Santa Cruz. We can have some coffee and breakfast there if we like, then go across the street to the beach to hunt for sea glass. We need to be on the beach at low tide, so the time may vary.
Wear good sturdy, comfortable shoes that you do not mind getting wet, and bring a jacket, small shovel (can be like a gardening shovel) and something to carry your treasure.
