These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://www.tlc.org (the “Site”) and Twin Lakes Church’s text messaging programs (the “SMS Program”). By using the Site or opting in to the SMS Program, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or sign up for text messages.

1. About Us

Twin Lakes Church (“TLC,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a church located at 2701 Cabrillo College Dr., Aptos, CA 95003. You can reach us at info@tlc.org or 831-465-3300.

2. Use of the Site

The Site is provided for informational, ministry, and community purposes. You agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or submit false or misleading information. We may update, change, or remove content at any time without notice.

3. SMS/Text Messaging Program

Program name: Twin Lakes Church Video Devos

Description: If you opt in, Twin Lakes Church will send you text messages including video devotional notifications, event reminders, and occasional church announcements.

How to opt in: You can opt in by texting TLC to (833) 568-8069‬. After you sign up, we will send a message asking you to confirm. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Twin Lakes Church at the mobile number you provided.

Consent is optional: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, donation, registration, or participation in any church program.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies depending on the program and your interactions. We may adjust frequency over time.

Costs: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier about your plan. Twin Lakes Church does not charge for the SMS Program.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and you will receive no further texts from that program. You may also email media@tlc.org. Where supported, messages may include an unsubscribe link.

How to get help: Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at media@tlc.org or 831-465-3300.

Changed or reassigned numbers: If you change or give up your mobile number, reply STOP from the old number or email media@tlc.org so messages do not go to the next owner of that number.

Carrier disclaimer: Carriers and wireless providers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier’s coverage and network availability.

Supported carriers: The SMS Program is available on most major U.S. carriers. Availability may vary.

Your responsibilities: You confirm that you are the subscriber or authorized user of the mobile number you provide and that you are at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian. Please keep your contact information current.

Privacy of your mobile information: We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Information is shared only with service providers who help us deliver messages, and only as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to third-party sites or use third-party services (for example, payment processors, event software, or video platforms). Those parties have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

5. Donations and Payments

Online donations and payments are processed by third-party providers. Their terms apply to those transactions. Questions about a donation can be sent to info@tlc.org.

6. Intellectual Property

Content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, audio, and video, belongs to Twin Lakes Church or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use requires our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and SMS Program are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that messages will be delivered on time or at all.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Twin Lakes Church and its staff, volunteers, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or SMS Program.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site or SMS Program after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
