9. Photo & Media Policy
We celebrate community life at Twin Lakes Church and occasionally take photos or videos at services and events for ministry purposes.
We balance this with respect for privacy and safety — especially for children and youth.
Our commitments:
- Photos and videos are used only for ministry communications (e.g., slideshows, social media, newsletters, website, or printed materials).
- We do not identify children by name online without specific written parental consent.
- Sensitive settings (e.g., counseling, prayer, or safety-related programs) are never photographed.
- Parents/guardians may opt out of photography for their child at any time.
To opt out:
Email info@tlc.org or tell a ministry leader. We’ll flag your preference in our records, and event photographers will be informed to avoid photographing your child.
10. SMS/Text Services (Video Devo Notifications, Event Reminders, Announcements)
We offer optional SMS/text messaging. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated messages (message frequency varies). Message & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your consent is not a condition of purchase or donation.
Opt-in: We’ll send a confirmation message after you sign up.
Opt-out/Unsubscribe
- Text STOP to end SMS from that program. You’ll receive one final message confirming your opt-out.
- Text HELP for help.
- Unsubscribe links may also be included in messages where supported.
Program details
- Purpose: video devotional notifications, event reminders, and occasional church announcements.
- Frequency: varies by program and your interactions; we may adjust frequency over time.
- Contact for support: media@tlc.org (or reply HELP if supported).
- Number changes: If you change or transfer your mobile number, please reply STOP from the old number or notify us at media@tlc.org to avoid messages to the new owner.
Compliance notes (industry standards): We follow SMS best practices (e.g., clear opt-in, easy opt-out, honoring STOP/HELP) consistent with CTIA Messaging Principles and anti-spam laws; quiet hours and content restrictions apply per industry guidelines and platform rules. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
