Jamal & Suzan Hashweh

Description

Jamal is the director of Refuge Cities Network, a ministry in Amman, Jordan.  Their mission is to love and help the refugees and the poor by providing relief, medical assistance, development and training.  Their Mother’s Support Program pairs donors with mothers in need, providing monthly essentials such as diapers, formula, and other necessities. The program offers both material and emotional support, fostering a meaningful relationship between the donor and the mother. Each year, their Backpacks Program helps children from low-income families and refugee communities by providing them with essential school supplies. In the beautiful Aqaba region near the shores of the Red Sea, their educational center serves as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the local community. Their clinics, three medical and one dental, are located across the city of Amman and each serve hundreds of refugees from Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Syria as well as Jordanians. They provide patients with basic care, treatments and medicines in a loving environment. One of the most personal and impactful aspects of the RCN ministry is its commitment to conducting home visits. Recognizing that many refugees, especially the elderly, disabled, or traumatized, may not have the ability to visit the clinics or community centers, the RCN team goes to them. Their  Vocational Center has equipped thousands of displaced individuals and families with educational and vocational skills.
