“Nothing is more important in your life than being one of God’s tools to form a human soul” writes author Paul David Tripp. But what exactly does it look like to be a tool in God's hands? How do we actually "disciple" our kids? This concept can feel overwhelming and especially challenging given the lightning-fast pace at which most of us live our lives. Join us as we learn how to bring God-centered rhythms into the everyday life of our families, and encourage each other to prioritize raising our kids in the way of Jesus.

Sun Nov 1: Digital World, Real Connection: Navigate screens, recognize risks, and stay connected with your kids

Raising kids in a digital world comes with challenges; from cyberbullying and social media to the permanence of a picture or post, our kids have access to more than ever. This seminar will help parents approach digital safety with wisdom, empathy, and connection rather than fear. Explore how to build trust, set healthy boundaries, and become the voice our kids will listen to as they navigate the digital world.

Sun Nov 15: What Every Parent Should Know about Codependency & Addiction

Panel Discussion

Come join a panel of parents of all ages with experience in addiction and recovery and learn how to create an emotionally healthy and safe home. We’ll discuss how to navigate difficult conversations about drugs, alcohol, codependency, and addiction, and build healthy relationships and habits that support your children both at home and at school.

How it works

Timing

• 10:45am = Drop off kids at Kid's Church
• 11am–12:30pm = Seminar in Monschke Hall - follow the signs!
• 12:30pm = Pick up kids at Kid's Church

What if I want to go to church and attend the seminar?

• Go to the Sat 6pm or Sun 9am service (check in / check out your kid as usual)
• We will have a hangout on the Big Playground from 10:15-10:45am
• You can then drop the kids off at Kid's Church at 10:45am, and attend the Seminar  

Location

• Seminars are in Room 9101 (next to Monschke Hall) - TLC campus map
• Signs on campus will direct you, and each week the TLK newsletter will share the topic

Commitment

• You can attend any and all Seminars that you’d like
• To develop a sense of community and belonging, we encourage you to come to as many as you can. The more you come, the more people you will meet and begin connecting with!
